March 13th 9:00am to 3:00pm - The purpose of the ACA Standards Course is to prepare camp directors and administrators for their accreditation visits and to serve as an introduction to the standards program for persons interested in Accreditation for the future or interested in becoming accreditation visitors. Camps being visited in 2013 must have a representative complete the course. The person completing the ACA Standards Course is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit and fully participate in the on-site visit. ACA membership is not a prerequisite for this course. Accreditation Process Guide will be distributed to member camps at training. The Visitor update is for any currently trained visitor. You will receive the 2012 updated Accreditation Process Guide at this training.

This Spring ACA, Evergreen will offer a "soft skills" training opportunity a la carte. Look for a member poll coming out this fall to help determine what topics will be featured. An opportunity to train all your staff in one comprehensive weekend! Here is a list of certification courses typically offered during the Spring Skills Training Weekend at one of our own ACA Camps in WA State: Lifeguarding with waterfront module, Archery Instructor Level 1, Small Craft Safety, Challenge Course Level 1 Facilitator including Low Ropes, High Ropes, and Climbing Wall.
